Chameleon with a 2 week old baby
Women have been wearing their babies since way back when. Different cultures have their "go-to" baby carrying method. The variety of baby carrying methods is staggering. There are carriers such as the rebozo, hmong, omnibohu, podegai, kitenge, papoose, mei-tai, sling, pouch, and wrap, to name a few.
On this site, I am selling carriers in various varieties; soft structured, mei-tai and ring sling.
The Froogie Chameleon soft structured carrier is a new hybrid design, incorporating some of the most frequently requested features in a carrier. The body of the Chameleon is made in such a way to enable three wearing positions, tummy-to-tummy, forward facing and a back carry. The Chameleon is also unique in that it can be buckled before placing the baby inside, a feature not common to soft structured carriers. These carriers have a buckled padded waist belt, 4 inch wide padded shoulder straps and side buckles. The Chameleon accomodates 27" to 50" waists (although there is no issue if you need a different length than standard, just ask!)
The Froogie Buckle (FB) is a mei-tai with a padded waist belt (27-50"), side buckles and 3-4" padded shoulder straps. The FB is made of either a solid fabric on one side and pattern on the other, or a pattern on each side (mommy and daddy sides). The FB can be used in tummy-to-tummy and back carries.
The Froogie Half-Buckle (FHB) is the same as above but with 60" shoulder straps that tie.
Froogie-Tais (FT) are made of a heavier solid fabric on one side (lightweight canvas, seersucker or broadcloth) with a patterned fabric on the other. The shoulder straps are 3-4" wide and 60" long each. They each have a stiff waist band and are adjustable from 27-50".
Froogie Slings are made of a lightweight cotton material and two rings that are made specifically for ring type carriers.
While my carriers are made with safety in mind, remember that it is up to the wearer to ensure proper wearing. You are responsible for wearing your baby correctly and inspecting your carrier each time you wear it for rips, tears or anything else that may cause your carrier to become an unsuitable environment for your baby.
